The Marriage of Christi & Lance at Frogtown Cellars

Lance and Christi were married at Frogtown Cellars on October 17th, 2009 in Dahlonega, GA. The details of Christi and Lance's wedding were almost as beautiful as Christi, almost. Christi was an incredibly beautiful bride, the word stunning immediately comes to my mind and I wish my images did her justice. She was elegant and sophisticated in her wedding gown and she took our breath away. Her handsome beau must have felt like the luckiest man in the world as he saw her coming down the isle.

The details were also incredible, the flowers were some of the most beautiful I have ever seen and Christi's mother Kathy deserves a standing ovation for the hard work she invested and the meticulous attention to detail that transformed Frogtown Cellars, everyday gorgeous in its own right, into the magical location it became for the wedding. Both the wedding cake and the groom's cake were awesome; the wedding cake was extraordinarily beautiful and the flower details added so much to overall aesthetic and the groom's cake was simply astounding. Hat's off to all the vendors for making the event so wonderful for the happy couple.

 

 
I would be remiss if I did not thank my exceptionally talented fellow photographers. Kristy Dickerson and Steve Glass captured incredible images, as did my wife Barbara and Amy Kelly. Barbara and Amy also assisted Steve, Kristy and myself with lighting, posing, organizing and all the intangible and incredibly important things that they did to make it possible to create some really beautiful images.

Congratulations to Lane and Christi, their wonderful parents and families and to all the guests who had more fun than is legally allowed; you know who you are. It was a grand wedding, one that I will not soon forget. I would like to offer my sincere gratitude to Kathy and Christi for the trust and confidence they expressed in our studio, we captured some incredibly magical moments on your big day and I hope you enjoy them. We all wish you many, many years of joy, happiness and love and some great rides in that fancy hot rod that Lance and his dad built so long ago. God bless you both and your friends and families.

 

Christi Bussey's Bridal Session

Christi, her mother Kathy and her best friend and maid of honor Jenny met Barbara and I at the beautiful campus of Berry College in Rome, GA on a chilly Sunday morning to shoot Christi's bridal session. The locations were stunning and so was Christi in her gorgeous wedding gown and veil.

Sorry, no pictures until after the wedding.... sssshhhhh! Top Secret stuff, but we got so many incredible shots that I will be posting along with Christi and Lance's wedding images. So, please, check back, you will not want to miss these shots...

Maureen & Scott Wedding at Frogtown Cellars

Maureen and Scott were married in a beautiful ceremony at Frogtown Cellars in Dahlonega, GA on Friday, October 2nd, 2009. The handsome couple were surrounded by their friends and family when they exchanged vows and rings on the deck of Frogtown Cellars overlooking the beautiful property and the glorious vines. Frogtown Cellars is a fabulous venue with its rich wooden beams and finely crafted wooden rails, stairs and bar all set against fantastic details and stone walls; beautiful does not approximate the rich visual aesthetics.

The wine flowed and the celebration began in earnest on the covered deck. Maureen was absolutely gorgeous in her vintage wedding gown with gorgeous details and equally stunning jewelery. The bridesmaids were beautiful and Scott looked stunning in his tuxedo and white vest and his groomsmen were handsome and dashing in their tuxedos and red vests. Scott's sons Thomas and Ben were there to witness the wonderful event and as an added bonus, Scott and Maureen's wedding day coincided with Ben's birthday.

I think it safe to speak for our team when I say we had a blast! This was a fun loving group that knew how to party; it was a real privilege to document their celebration of Maureen and Scott's big day. This was a great group that made us feel welcome and the wealth of their collective spirit elevated our efforts. Thanks to everyone who attended, the fantastic staff at Frogtown Cellars and the wonderful vendors who came together and made this such a special event for Maureen and Scott. Great job by everyone, each and every detail was meticulously executed to perfection.

I also want to thank Kristy Dickerson, Steve Glass and my wife, Barbara, for their phenomenal photography and assistance; each are accomplished photographers with their own enterprises, but when we all come together at a wedding magic happens. I have been very fortunate to be a part of many great teams over the years, but this team is really special. The unique visions and personal styles we each possess are so complimentary when we combine our talents we are able to give our clients something really special. You guys are incredible - thank you so very much.

I also want to thank Amy Kelly and welcome her as the newest addition to our team. Amy is a tremendous asset to the team and she has a very bright future; we're very fortunate she has decided to add her talent to our efforts. Welcome Amy, big stuff is on the horizon for you. So, here are a few example images from the event. I am culling the nearly 4,500 images we shot and preparing them for uploading to Scott and Maureen's private gallery. The online galleries will be available within the next two weeks; Maureen and Scott will be sharing the password with their family and friends.
