Mary and Joel were recently married in a beautiful ceremony at the gazebo atop the hill that overlooks Three Sisters Vineyards. The weather was threatening all day and just before the ceremony there was a bit of a downpour and nearly everyone crowded into the gazebo to try and stay dry. Thankfully, after a short time, mother nature cooperated; the rain ceased and our happy couple's ceremony went off without a hitch.
It was an amazingly beautiful location for a wedding; the gazebo overlooks the vineyards and a range of mountains known as the three sisters rose prominently into the sky in the background. A cellist and violinist from Bella Musica played beautiful chamber music while we waited for the ceremony to begin. The bridesmaids and then the bride arrived in a handsome white carriage drawn by two gorgeous black horses from Back in Time; the coachman was looking smart as well in his elegant top hat and tails.
Joel and Mary's wedding was the first assembly of a new team for my studio; I guess you could call us the four amigos or, if I might be so bold, the fantastic four. Kristy Dickerson, Steve Glass, my wife Barbara and myself were all present for the entire event; we each got some incredible shots that started with the preparation of the wedding party at the Lily Creek Cottage and ended at the beautiful tasting room of Three Sisters Vineyards.
Kristy and I met when we attended a workshop together a few years back and have since worked a number of weddings together; we've been fans of each others work for quite some time now. Steve and I met this year when we shot a wedding together and I am very impressed by his skills and his talent. A sincere and humongous thank you to Kristy and Steve for second shooting this wedding; each of you were incredibly professional and the quality of your images speak for themselves, I couldn't be happier. I also want to thank Barbara for the incredible images she captured, all I can say is, "Wow!"
This is a lengthy post, but with family and friends of the bride and groom so geographically dispersed I wanted to share images from each stage of the wedding to convey a chronology of the events of the day; from the preparations to the departure of the happy couple. I am working on a slide show that I will upload later this week, be looking for it. I think you will really enjoy it.
AlI the images have been uploaded to Joel and Mary's private PickPic online proofing gallery, so the images are now available if anyone would like to order prints or other products. If you would like to view those images please contact Mary for the access code; there are 2,085 images in their galleries. Once you have the access code, you can navigate to the log-in page by following this link.
Once again, I want to thank, my wife, Barbara, Kristy Dickerson and Steve Glass for their personal contributions and fantastic images; to that end, and to recognize each of them for their individual artistry each image included in this post is attributed to the shooter. Please position your mouse cursor over and image to view comments about the image and attribution to the photographer and the equipment used.
Note: Many of the images can be viewed at a larger size by double-clicking the image. The image will open in a separate window which can be closed to return to the blog. I hope you enjoy these images as much as everyone on our team enjoyed shooting them, we had a blast.
Finally, and most importantly, to our clients Mary and Joel, who have become friends, Barbara and I wish you the very best as you begin your new life together in Texas. We hope the arrival of each anniversary will be so much more than a milestone. We pray that your love grows stronger with each passing year and that you hold on to your passion and enjoy a rich and happy life together. God bless you both and your families.
