The Wedding of Jessica & Jonathan - June 12th, 2010

First, the online gallery for Jessica and Jonathan is targeted for availability on July 2nd, 2010. I know everyone is anxious to see the images, but you have to understand that during the middle of wedding season everything gets a little backed up and it takes a longer than normal for the post processing of images.

We are proud of our affiliation with PWD Labs and rely on their talented editors to cull and post process our images to 'proof ready' status. They're great at what they do and we ask for your patience while they are busy working through the tremendous backlog of images; I promise that everyone will love the results, they're the best at what they do.

So, in the meantime, I will continue to post a collection of images from the rehearsal and the wedding while the nice folks at PWD Labs do that voodoo that they do so well.

We hope Jessica and Jonathan had the time of their lives in Jamaica and we can't wait to see them again.

Jessica & Jonathan - Cavender Castle Wedding - June 12th, 2010

Jessica and Jonathan were married on Saturday, June 12th, 2010 in a beautiful ceremony at the picturesque Cavender Castle here in Dahlonega, GA. Jessica was absolutely stunning in her gorgeous gown, so many details and it fit her like a glove; she was breathtakingly beautiful. Jonathan could not have been more handsome in his tuxedo; the two of them were a perfect match as they stood at the altar in front of friends and family to recite their vows and exchange their rings. The wedding was a memorable event. The kindness, humor and hospitality of Jessica and Jonathan's family and friends made me feel so comfortable and appreciated. Thanks to each of you and it was a real pleasure to be a part of the culmination of such an epic romance.

Jonathan and Jessica have been dating for eight years. There was so much love and friendship on display that I felt myself getting swept away by the strong current of emotion that was flowing through those of us fortunate enough to be in attendance. I know I speak for my entire team (Kristy Dickerson, Steve Glass, Alex Smith, Dana Hornbeck and the love of my life, my wife, Barbara Franks) when I say we were all touched by their beautiful romance and we were very honored to participate and document their special day. I want to thank the very talented photographers for their superb effort and the fantastic images they captured; thanks very much ladies and gentlemen, excellent work once again.

I am posting some images that begin the day before at the rehearsal and flow chronologically from the gathering of Jessica and her matron of honor and bridesmaids at J. Thomas Salon early the day of the wedding and end with her and Jonathan's departure to begin their honeymoon in Jamaica. These images are pretty much right out of the camera, but I really wanted to post a few images right away for Jessica and Jonathan's family and friends. Post processing will begin tomorrow on the almost 6,000 images we all captured; I cannot wait to be able to post the images online for all to see. More details soon, please keep checking the blog.

Amber & Josh and the Harpist

After the ceremony, Amber and Josh posed with the harpist near the altar for this image. I asked them to look down at the harpist as if she were playing a special song just for them. I really liked the rich tones and their posture and wanted to share this image with everyone.

The Wedding of Amber & Josh at The Grove

Amber & Josh were married at a beautiful venue in Maysville, Georgia called The Grove. The cute couple exchanged their vows in front of friends and family in the upstairs chapel and held a reception downstairs. The facilities were beautiful and the details were gorgeous and plentiful.

Amber and Josh are on their way to Honolulu this morning for their honeymoon. We wish them all the happiness in the world as they begin their new lives together. We wish their family and friends well also and enjoyed meeting and spending some time with them.

I had a wonderful team of photographers for Amber & Josh's beautiful ceremony and reception. Steve Glass, Dana Hornbeck, Barbara Franks (my extraordinary wife) and myself. Wonderful work from each of them and some incredible and poignant images I am sure will be cherished by those in attendance.

Finally, Louie, Amber's father, and I have had the opportunity to speak on the phone many times before the wedding and we've become friends without ever laying eyes on one another. It was a real pleasure to meet him in person, but as any wedding photographer knows, time is a precious commodity for a photographer and we didn't have a lot of time to visit. I look forward to future opportunities to visit Louie and his family, my brother from a different mother.

Heather & Jason's Wedding Image Gallery Now Online

I have uploaded Heather & Jason's wedding image gallery. The online gallery is password protected so contact either Heather or Jason to get the password; there are nearly 2,400 images from their beautiful wedding. Alex and I had a blast documenting the joyous event and are so proud we were allowed to participate. Special thank you to Jason and Heather and to all their family and friends. Enjoy!

Heather & Jason

Heather and Jason were married in a beautiful ceremony at Lake Oconee on May 15th, 2010. The gorgeous couple stood on the shore of the lake while friends and family shared their moving ceremony. The Sandberg's beautiful lakefront home provided a picturesque setting while Sal Gentile's music floated through the air. It was a magical moment and Alex Smith and I were so honored to participate in their joyous union.

During the reception, Thomas Tillman and his band entertained; Heather and Jason and their guests let their hair down, kicked up their heels, and thoroughly enjoyed themselves; as did we. What a fantastic wedding, one we will not soon forget. It was a perfect day; thanks to everyone for making us feel so welcome and our very best wishes to Jason and Heather for a long life full of happiness and love.

Joy & Seth's Reception Video

Completed the reception video and wanted to share this with Joy & Seth. This is the second video in the set, please see the first video as well.

The music on this second video is from Curtis Jones (guitarist) & Martin Norgaard (violinist) and the song is an original composition entitled Garden at the Asylum. I license all the music for my websites from Curtis and I am his exclusive photographer. Curtis is a fantastic musician and I wanted to share his beautiful music with everyone on this video.

Joy & Seth's Wedding Video

I just completed the production of the first of two wedding videos from their March 27th, 2010 ceremony and reception at Forrest Hills Resort. This video contains images from the preparations of Joy and Seth and the wedding party, formal and candid images of the wedding party and the ceremony.

A second video is under production and will contain images from the reception. I hope everyone enjoys this video and if anyone would like a high resolution DVD that you can stick in your home theater system's DVD player and watch it large on your television please contact me.

Enjoy the video; if you are connecting to the Internet via dial-up or a slow connection you may want to turn off the High Quality feed by clicking the HQ button on the control panel. However, if you are experiencing interruptions while the video is streaming my recommendation is let it play through one time completely and after it has streamed completely the video will play without a hitch thereafter.

Joy & Seth a Mountain Wedding

Joy and Seth are an amazing young couple. Deeply involved with the ministry of their church and both are youth mentors. On March 27th, 2010 they were married in a beautiful ceremony in the mountains of north Georgia. The wedding took place at Forrest Hills Resort at their beautiful outdoor gazebo nestled in the foothills just east of Amicalola Falls. It was a beautiful sunny day and their families and guests had a wonderful experience.

There will be several more posts of images from the wedding and an Animoto video of several hundred of the still images; so, check back often this week as I post more images as I complete the processing. Their gallery will be available online before the end of next week and I will make an announcement once it's available.

I want to thank my wife Barbara, my second shooters Kristy Dickerson and Steve Glass and my assistants, who also captured some amazing images, Alex Smith and Dana Hornbeck for all their hard work and amazing results. I can't wait to show the bride and groom what we captured with our cameras. Here are just a few shots from their beautiful day; again, many more images to follow. The total images captured before I began the culling process was over 6,000. We'll whittle that down to around 2,000 images for Joy and Seth.

Animoto Video - The Atlanta Wedding of Heather & Greg

Heather and Greg were married February 27th, 2010 at the Peachtree Christian Church on Peachtree Street in Atlanta. It was a wonderful ceremony, the church was beautiful and the setting was magical. I want to thank all the really nice folks from the church for keeping us within the lines, so to speak, and being ever so kind and sweet with their instructions and so gracious with their assistance.

A reception followed at the Wimbish Mansion, also on Peachtree Street in Atlanta. Everyone had a great time and Heather and Greg had a wonderful send off as they drove away in a vintage 1941 Cadillac. If you haven't visited the Wimbish Mansion, which is run by the Atlanta Women's Club, you have denied yourself an exquisite treat. Very nice folks that are extraordinarily helpful and the venue is just magical.

I was blessed to work with two of my favorite photographers once again, Kristy Dickerson and Steve Glass were the associate photographers for this wedding and they both did a fabulous job; fantastic artists and technically gifted photographers. I was likewise blessed to have Amy Kelly, a veteran of previous weddings and events, and Alex Smith, who shot his first wedding, assisting with lighting. Each of these aspiring photographers, who are quickly mastering their craft and cutting out their own niches in the market place, captured some really great images and I thank each of them as well for their talents. To my entire crew of incredibly talented gals and guys, awesome work, you spoil me rotten and so very glad to have you participate.

I am still culling and post processing over 4,000 images of the wedding, so it will be another ten days or so before the online gallery will be complete. I have cherry picked a few images, 87 to be exact, from the shooting and created an initial sub-gallery called Studio Picks to give everyone a preview of what's to come. Family and friends of Heather and Greg contact one of them to get the password for their gallery.
